In this article I will explain how to make different types of Indian sweet cakes.
1) Gram flour cake
instructions:
Heat the oil in a nonstick skillet over medium heat, add the chickpea flour and cook on the grill until a good aroma starts to form.
In a large bowl, add 1 cup of oil with roasted chickpea flour,
mix well and let stand for 15-20 minutes.
Heat the water in a saucepan over low heat, add the sugar and boil.
Boil until 1/3 of the original amount remains.
Now add the mixture of flour and chickpea oil to this sugar syrup.
Now add a cup of oil at regular intervals to avoid drying the mixture and mix it properly.
Continue stirring continuously.
Remove the mixture from the flame and pour it into a well-greased dish.
Press lightly on the top cover.
Garnish with cashew nuts.
Store in the freezer for 1-2 hours and allow to cool.
Cut it into square or diamond shaped pieces.
2) fig cake
instructions:
Put 10 figs in the water for a few hours.
Drain and reserve for 2-3 hours.
In a mill, add the soaked figs and make a soft puree.
Heat the oil in a saucepan over low heat, add figs, condensed milk and sugar, stir continuously.
Cold until you make a big chunk.
Add the cardamom powder and the chopped pistachios, mix well.
Remove from the flame and pour into a well-greased dish.
Lightly press on the lid and garnish with grated coconut and almonds.
Store in the freezer for 1 to 2 hours and allow to cool.
Cut it into squares or pills
3) milk pie
Instructions for making cottage cheese:
Boil the milk in a saucepan over medium heat. When it starts to boil, add the lemon juice.
When the curd begins to separate from the water, turn off the gas.
Once the cottage cheese has separated from the water, strain in a colander.
Wrap the cottage cheese in a muslin and squeeze a little water.
To make a milk cake:
Boil the milk in a saucepan over medium heat until it is only half the original amount.
Add the cottage cheese to the milk and mix well.
Cook this mixture until it thickens.
Make a soft dough with this mixture.
Add sugar to the dough and cook until softened.
Remove from heat and pour into a well-greased dish.
Lightly press on the hood and garnish with almonds.
Store in the freezer for 1-2 hours and allow to cool.
Cut this pigeon into square or diamond shaped pieces.
